Meditating for beginners- 7 simple steps to begin Meditating.

Meditation has many benefits. It increases self-awareness, reduces stress levels, quiets the mind, helps you to be in the present moment, reduces negative emotions, reduces anxiety & much more.


Meditating for at least 10 minutes a day can dramatically change your life. You will find you will have a much more of a relaxed mind, greater clarity, increased focus & be much more patient with self & others.

When beginning to meditate you may find it hard to quiet the mind however with repetition it will become easier & the mind will become less active. As a beginner it is recommended you begin to meditate for 5 to 10 minutes a day.


Here are 7 steps to help you to start Meditating today.


  • Sit or lie down in a comfortable position.

  • Close your eyes.

  • Start by taking three deep breaths in & out.

  • Notice any sensations in your body that you may be feeling without attachment.

  • Notice any thoughts that arise & allow them to pass by without attachment.

  • When you find your mind wanders bring your attention back to your breathing.

  • When you are ready open your eyes


Some people prefer to listen to guided meditations, some prefer to just connect with self and therefore use this process. However you choose to meditate you will begin to notice the benefits in as little as 8 weeks.
